I plan to start recording the technology training sessions that I lead (starting after FETC). I am hoping to lead a technology training session on Inspiration 7 (image management program). I would like to hold/videotape at least 3 face-to-face training sessions. I would like to hold all follow-up training sessions online.

I feel that things are really beginning to come together for me in the OMAET program. I really look forward to Florida. I am also looking forward to online training center. The online learning/training center will be web-based and will have listserv capabilities.

After today's TI session I have decided that I am going to use a combination of recorded email and training room video for data as I work on my ARP. My wife and I purchased Dazzle for our home PC, so now I can create digital video using my camcorder. I am very excited about this!

I am thinking about training some of the staff members in the different academic departments to perform Blackboard System Administration. Faculty members could contact them if they needed courses to be created or class rosters to be updated, for example. The question is: how do I set up an online training session? A training session could possibly be held in Blackboard's Virtual Classroom environment. I need to find a way to get the VC browser to support cookies.

I am planning to begin holding technology training sessions for faculty members via Blackboard's Virtual Classroom. Blackboard will allow me to chat with professors synchronously and also project web pages. My first training session will probably cover adding students to a Blackboard course.

As part of my ARP, I am planning to create an online learning/training center for CBU faculty and staff. The planning center will be accessible via the web. The center will allow faculty and staff to receive online training in applications such as PowerPoint, Blackboard, etc. I want to setup either listservs or newsgroups to help support each application (a Yahoo! Group may be easier to set up).

Today was our first EDC 638 meeting for the Spring Semester. I look foward to Graduation. I also look forward to really getting started on my ARP. I have a list of faculty members here at the University that I plan to survey to find out what technology-related skills they would like to learn more about. I will start training faculty members online (v.s. face-to-face). I also need to learn how to submit funding requests, and submit those requests within the next few months. I am also very excited about going to Orlando (I need to get my travel arrangements straightened out).
