On Friday, I will demonstrate scaffolding during the F2F Blackboard training session that I will lead. Participants will be grouped in pairs. So far, I am not sure what type of activity I could use to demonstrate scaffolding.

I will conduct videotaped training sessions on the Blackboard Virtual Classroom and the Online Gradebook. I am hoping to be able to conduct a training session on April 4th, 2003 (Virtual Classroom). During my training sessions, I will illustrate social learning theory, scaffolding, CoP, and the other method that K. Schoen mentioned in Mar. 10th's AM TI session (EDC 665).
It seems that the first tri has helped me more with understanding the design behind our LMS and the second tri has helped me to become a more effective trainer. The practice that I wish to improve through my ARP is my technology training and my teacher training.

Starting next week, I would like to hold face-to-face training session on the Blackboard system for CBU faculty and staff. I will take up paper evaluations from each student and use the evaluations to improve my training. I will videotape my training sessions for ARP data. I will use educational methods such as scaffolding and CoP to train CBU faculty and staff.

I am having a hard time collecting data for my ARP. I was hoping to get some online feedback from students regarding their opinion of last week's training session, but I have run into some technical difficulties. I will have to contact the students and either establish some type of data-gathering dialogue with them or ask them to complete the online survey over again.

I really look forward to collecting data regarding the recent Inspiration 7/Kidspiration training session that took place on Tuesday, March 18. I am planning to download the video into the computer, edit it, and use it for my presentation in July. I am also working on my Cycle A4 report for next week.

I am still waiting to receive some students feedback regarding Tuesday night's Inspiration 7/Kidspiration training session. I will use this data for my ARP. I also have video that I will use. I collected some training session evaluations from a training session that I did last year. I am thinking about using that information for ARP data as well. I will also use my OMAET Blogger journal entries as data.

I spent most of the day preparing for tonight's Inspiration 7/Kidspiration training session. I will use Blackboard to collect training session evaluations and offer technical support to the students. I will also be videotaping the training session. I will be collecting valuable data for my ARP.

Tomorrow is my face-to-face Inspiration training session. I will videotape this training session and use the video for ARP data. I feel a little nervous about it right now but I know that everything is in God's hands. I plan to continue Inspiration 7 support through a Blackboard course. This ARP cycle will actually be about software support.

Friday, March 07, 2003

I am preparing to start collecting data for my Inspiration ARP cycle. I am also working on my Blackboard support staff ARP cycle. I am wondering if video would be appropriate for the Blackboard cycle, since this ARP is based on building personal connections.

My Blackboard support staff ARP cycle seems promising. I look forward to establishing a working community of Blackboard support staff. I excited to see the community members interact with each other. However, I am still confused on how to record data for this cycle.
