My next Blackboard training will be designed using the Communities of Practice learning theory. I will build a community of Blackboard System Support specialists that will help in the creation and management of Blackboard courses and Blackboard user accounts. I would like to get at least one representative from each school/college to participate in the training.

I will soon be preparing the next Blackboard training session. Our I.T. department is holding a training program for the university, and I am going to ask if I can be part of that. I like to open up my training sessions with PowerPoint presentations. I will use the CoP educational theory during the next training session. I would like to provide more Blackboard training.

I will begin planning for the next Blackboard training session very soon. My ARP has really evolved to become a staff development tool. I am excited about completing the first cycle of this ARP and beginning the next ARP cycle. I thank God for allowing me to have a successful spring trimester.
I really enjoy prepariing and leading technology training sessions, especially when I can base my training on educational theories.

Yesterday I led a face-to-face training session on the Basics of Blackboard for Adjunct Faculty in the School of Education. I demonstrated the Social Learning Theory. During my next training session, I will demonstrate the Communities of Practice theory. This will conclude Cycle 1 of my ARP.
I feel comfortable doing procedure-based technology training such as this.

I feel that part of my practice is to be a technology cheerleader (advocate). Part of being a tech advocate is training other how to use technology to improve performance. The web is a tool that I use to attract people to our university.

I feel a lot better about my role as a technology trainer here at the university. I am also enjoying my role as Blackboard system administrator and webmaster. Thank God! I feel that I am becoming a more effective trainer. I feel that I am developing my own training "style."

I really enjoy learning more about educational theories and finding way to apply them to training. Since changing my ARP, I have been able to apply educational theories to my Blackboard training. So far I have videotaped two technology training sessions.

I am excited about finishing up the second semester of the OMAET program. I really need to talk to Dr. Sparks (perhaps this week) regarding the recent changes to my ARP. Today I will work on training materials for next week's Blackboard training (Tuesday, April 22, 2003, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm). I will illustrate the "social learning" educational theory during this training session.

While at home last night, I began t think that it may be better to offer the next Blackboard training on April 22nd from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm instead of from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. I will work with the coordinator to choose an appropriate time.

I need to talk to Dr. Sparks about my ARP - a LOT of changes have taken place. Also, I need to learn more about the "social learning" theory of education, and figure out how it can be applied to the training session that is coming up on April 22, 2003.

Last Friday's training session went well. The next training session will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In this training session, I will demonstrate the "social learning" educational method. The training session is for adjunct faculty who want to learn more about Blackboard.

Today during my study time I will do some research on the scaffolding technique, and I will demonstrate the technique in detail during Friday's training session.
On a personal note, I feel that I present better when I am presenting something that I am passionate about or presenting something that i have experience in, rather than just presenting for the sake of presenting. I would like to become a better trainer, being able to touch on more that just tech procedures. I would like to incorporate more tech history/educational psychology in my training.
